ok, since Steam hasn't seen fit to fix the spawn door bug yet, the asshats are having lots of fun messing things up for everyone else with the teleporter in the door glitch.. causes the door to become stuck and no one can go in or out of spawn. I propose an immediate 60 minute ban for anyone caught doing this.. Cause if you try to restart a map twice in a short amount of time, it seems to mess up the server. Server has burped at least twice now because of restarts for this glitch...
what say you??

I'd be in agreement if not for the fact we might ban people who are doing it just because they've seen others do it and don't understand that it's a problem. If you tell them to move it and they don't, that's fine... but then I think that's grounds for a ban under normal protocols, anyway.

Moving it doesn't fix the problem unfortunately. I've had people build, asked them to move it, which they did, and the door still remained stuck.. once in a while it won't stick the door, but most of the time it does.. I dunno if it has to be built in exactly the right spot to kick off the glitch or what... I'm kinda frustrated and now we're down a popular server because of it.

The real problem with this is that even if you kick/ban the perp for this, the door will get stuck unless the person who built it destroys it themselves.

Nevertheless, it's a bit cruel to kick someone who did it innocently, no? Maybe if we had a script or something that blared at the person not to place them there when they log in. then it wouldn't be so bad to ban them on sight.

I kicked someone named Icarus the other day for doing that. You could see it was intentional. The door was stuck when I logged on, so I reset map. Immediately, he was trying to place a tele, and you could see him wiggle back and forth along the doorway until he could get it juuuust right. I kicked him, and he never came back. I then said to the server why I kicked him. People were happy.
