I was on the Tempest 4 Arena server, and this sniper named "Rape", STEAM_0:0:20232314, kept getting headshots, speed hacking, could see spies while they were cloaked, and wall hacking. The guy said he was using the free weekend and could do whatever he wants. He wasn't just getting one or two kills per round either. It was more than half the team every time.
He is the first idiot.

So after a good 15 minutes of everyone confirming he is hacking and telling to ban him countless times (I even told one of the pDs members to just ban him now and justify it later!), he still is in the server for some reason!

This is where the second idiot comes in.

So I asked if all pDs members have admin, and {pDs} TERMINATOR [A] said he had admin. During that time "Rape" was getting head shots, speed hacking, shooting invis spies, and wallhacking, while everyone in the server is complaining about him. So finally he kicks someone that isn't "Rape"! TERMINATOR takes his time to kick someone named Kainen, who isn't that hacker? Is he blind or just retarded? Then after a few more minutes TERMINATOR asks "who is hacking?" Once again, is he fucking blind?! Then FINALLY, he KICKS the hacker, Rape. Kick?! Why would he kick an obvious hacker that has nothing to lose? {pDs} Simon was there too, but I don't think he had admin.

I care more about having vigilant admins that know something than banning Rape.

I have a short demo or Rape cause I was sure he would get caught and banned sooner, but I was wrong. So if you need the demo, I will post it.

This is upsetting cause Tempests are very nice servers.

I do agree with Turbojack in that it shouldn't have been a kicking thing.  From the way I remember always doing it before, hacking constitutes a permenant ban and needs a demo in the event of a dispute.  Turbojack called me on steam because the hacker was griefing the server and completely emptying it out. 

I didn't come in myself because 1) I put in my request to have my admin removed, and 2) I saw that Terminator was there in the server.  It should have been a ban and I support Turbojack for his reasoning but not necessarily the way he wrote it here.

Sorry to berate TERMINATOR, but that's the way I feel. Even if it was a bit off color. What actions have to be taken when the hacker was still on the server hacking the whole time while everyone else on the server seem to realize it as well? There is no uncertainty that he was hacking, so a ban should of been immediate. Kicking someone who was not  hacking, but complaining about Rape is a VALID reason for his actions?

1. We don't ban then ask questions later here.  If an administrator sees suspicious activity we usually will give a 1 day ban in order for us to review the demo files.
2. We have rules defining the information we gather before we issue a ban. This takes some time but keeps things fair.

1. We don't take other players word on banning issues, we have to see and record the action ourselves or verify that someone else has made demo file.  I have lost count of how many times someone complains about hacking that were completely baseless.
2. Speed hacking and someone using an aimbot every time are easy to confirm.  Wallhacking, random headshots,etc. take a little more time.
3. The way the admin menu is setup, it's possible to kick/ban someone(usually listed next to the person you really wanted to kick) if you get in a rush(like when the map cycle is about to end or the server emptying out).

 We enjoy you playing on our servers and hope you continue to play them.  We will do our very best to "police" our servers so you have a good time playing.  The admins here give up a lot of play time monitoring the servers so you can have a good time.  We do make mistakes sometimes, but we are definitely not idiots.

I dont disagree on any particular point with you K_Buz.  I do however, think this could have been handled with a little more tact.  I understand the lack of tolerance with cheaters, and I'm right there with ya.....however Admins need to have an over-abundance of tolerance with those who are not  well informed and take the time to 'educate' them on our processes.  Keep in mind this process varies from server to server.  This was an issue for Terminator to address, and now may have escalated beyond what it should have been.  We cannot, in my opinion as administrators, fly off the handle and inflame an already volitile issue.  Perhaps we should  try to look at the other person's viewpoint, and put yourself in their shoes before telling them that they should be banned for the way they expressed their opinion.
