I enjoyed making arena_dust and I've had a hankering here and there to make another map, but frankly the lack of community interest (not from WDFNews, this community's great, but the larger TF2 playerbase) makes me question whether it's worth it. Unless you have a genius idea for the next 2fort or warpath, your map's going to end up in a bin on map sites and at best rotation on a community server like ours, and even then probably empty out the server anyway (unless people are just there to check out custom maps). From my observation, by far the most popular servers are 24/7 2fort/goldrush/payload or official maps only. Left 4 Dead, though presents some interesting ideas that might get me back into it, depending on how much scripting and atmosphere creation you can do.
