So here are some early screenshots of the prison map that i have been working on since the days of hl2dm.  i was almost done building it for that mod, then came tf2 and i had to almost start all over.  well, i just want let you guys know that it is real and that i'm not just pulling shit out of my ass like i do most the time .

anyway, like i said, these are a few early screenshots so that you get a feel of some basic structure.  i'm working on the lighting right now so don't think that the lighting in these pics are what you are going to see in the map (you won't).  oh, and don't pay attention to the fps.  i have a shitty graphics card and computer, so the fact that i get 80fps is actually quite a good thing.  just to compare, i get about ~40 on 2fort when i'm by myself, and about ~20 when i play on the server.



this is a pic of the red spawn room.  each person will spawn into a jail cell and the gate will open and you can get out and play.


This is the courtyard between the two bases.  there are 4 ways into each base.  the sliding glass doors under the "Blue" decal, the opening on the second story clearly visible.  just under that is a blown up hole leading to the shower room in each base, and a door off to the right hand side that you can't see.

This map is huge, it can easily hold +30 people.  but with multiple ways in and out of almost every room, it will probably be a high scoring map.  anyway, i will try to have a beta version ready for testing by the end of the month.  i will try to keep you guys posted with more screens as i make more progress.

just past the gate (straight ahead), if you turn right, you will go to the shower room.  the intel is to the left.  just another one for you guys for now.

still making final touches to the textures (that green in the shower room is going to go, don't worry).  i'm also still doing a lot of work to the lighting, but its starting to turn out pretty nice (to me at least). 

the major hurdle that i'm going to have to tackle is that i'm at 120% full on my entdata.  i need to get rid of a lot of entities so that i can compile the whole map.  i will do what i can, but i'm making good progress.  coming down the home stretch.

well i was able to bring the entdata down below 100% so i was able to do a full compile on this map.

is anybody willing to do a small map test with me later this week?  I don't think its ready for a full test, but i will need somebody else to host it because i don't have access to my firewall settings and you won't be able to connect to my computer if i host.
