func_door: then in the menu find the one that says move direction. then pick the direction that it will move with the circle in the upper right based on your overhead view. if you want it to slide to the right from the overhead view standpoint, then you make the line point to the right in the little circle. in addition, there is a little pull down menu to select if you want it to slide up/down as opposed to a direction.
func_door_rotating: this will create a door with a hinge so that it will swing open. make your door and tie this entity to it. then click on the circle in the middle of the door from your overhead view. then pull it to the side of the door that you want the hinge to be on. there you have it, it will swing open instead of sliding.
always make sure to set all your properties correctly. the major ones that get cause trouble are use opens/touch opens and naming or setting door filters wrong. remember to use TF2 team filters for the TF2 mod and that nothing can be use opens in TF2.
