Duck and I went to see it for my birthday this weekend. I'm always more partial to the books, but this last one was great! Tons of action, great emotion and captivating acting (by Alan Rickman, if no one else).

I'd give it a solid 8/10!

Anyone else a fan of the books and/or movies? What did you think?

Really enjoy the movies, but won't be seeing this one for a couple more weeks.

And Alan Rickman rocks. I've liked him since I first saw him in Die Hard. He's just gotten more awesome with age.

My daughter and her friends sat in line for 7 hours for the mightnight premiere(having a great time with everyone around). They were all dressed up as were many others. They got excellent seats and absolutely loved the movie.

Hehe. A local news program did a story on the line and I'm thinking to myself, "A few hours? That's all?".
I was in the Star Wars Episode 1 line for a week.
I was in the Star Wars Episode 2 line for two weeks.

No line for Episode 3, though. By then I'd given up all hope of Lucas being able to make a good movie.

lol! Oh my! I've only ever gone to one midnight premiere, and it didn't seem worth it to me... Although the atmosphere was fun!

And I love Alan Rickman too. Been a fan of his ever since I saw Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. He was hilarious in that! When they cast him as Snape I was thrilled.

I'm hoping he gets an Oscar nod for playing Snape this last time around. He managed to bring most of the audience to tears!

Eh, the line was more about the atmosphere than getting into the movie, and during the first one some of my friends and I were filming a documentary. After that it was just about what groups got through the door first--we all had our tickets some days in advance.

It was pretty good, I definitely laughed more during it than any of the other movies. Anybody remember the part where it just cuts to a shot of Voldemort who only says "HA!", with weird pauses and such to make it totally ridiculous? I thought it was funny. I found it exceedingly difficult to take Voldemort seriously during this movie...

It's been a long time since I read the seventh book, so I didn't feel disappointed like I did when they cut so much stuff out of the 5th movie.

Saw this one the other day - Fucking loved it. I bitched when the split 7 in to two parts, but man it was such a great idea. It was essentially just a 2-hour action fest, no-holds-barred. What a good piece of cinema.
