I'm thinking about buying this. My girlfriends brother (he's pretty cool) says that this is everything he's ever wanted in a space sci-fi game...ever. He's a huge starcraft nut, so you gotta figure that that's a lot to speak for. What's the game like and is it worth it? Looks like they have awsome visuals for minimal computer stress. Also, one very large question ; Is it P2P?

PVP? Yes, PVP is everywhere. It's massive. 5000 star systems... never know when other players will ambush you....... read the stickies. [13:58] TheSpaniard84: I have a kitty stuck to my rump [13:58] WhuTdufK: I suppose that's better than what's normally stuck to your rump.

This is all in-game footage.
If you do decide to buy the game, make sure you buy it by clicking the eve link on the main wdfnews page... :) [13:58] TheSpaniard84: I have a kitty stuck to my rump [13:58] WhuTdufK: I suppose that's better than what's normally stuck to your rump.

Guild Wars literally gives you a continent to play on that took me about 100 hours to actually explore for the story alone. It'll take me twice as much to go to all the places I avoided. When you buy Factions, the other installment, the continent that you play on is much larger, and you can explore the Prophecies continent (that's the one as if you were to just buy Guild Wars) For just 50 bucks and no online fee's, I think you guys might want to add that game to your roster too :P EvE looks really good, I just wanna know at this point how much is the montly fee?

Guild wars is.... tiny compared to eve.
It's $15/m. The actual game purchase is free. You just download it. [13:58] TheSpaniard84: I have a kitty stuck to my rump [13:58] WhuTdufK: I suppose that's better than what's normally stuck to your rump.

Their site is acting screwy. And yeah, I guess the first month activation cost is $20. [13:58] TheSpaniard84: I have a kitty stuck to my rump [13:58] WhuTdufK: I suppose that's better than what's normally stuck to your rump.

I'll probably get into it later after I've finished up Guild Wars to my liking.

There is no charge what so ever to play eve for the first 2 weeks, to see if you like it or not.
You just set it up for a trial account, design your character and go. Its a really easy game, but also extreamly complicated in the same manner. Great game for anyone.
Free for 2 weeks to try.
$20 to activate account after you have tried and decide you like it.
$15 a month afterwords to play with over 15 thousand players online at the point in time your on.

Times mentioned in the above post are stated in WHUT time... which is not the time normal humans are accustomed. Whut time is relative. Today is defined as whenever Whut happens to get a bug up his ass and thinks he is gotten sorta of close to being in the mood. The actual real life timeframe for these occurences is unknown at this time. Sometimes it happens more than once in a day and during other periods it would be more like for hell to freeze over than anything actuallly getting done. Currently we are in a time frame where it would seem that there would be more of a chance of Dragon getting a girlfriend as far fetched as that might be than there would be of anything actually happening here. -YourAimSucks -Reaper o'Blood -{pDs} Bloodhands

I have played Guild wars and it is not a true MMORPG. It uses "instancing" for the PVP as well as the missions. Sure you can be with many mnay other players in the town, but what the hell are you going to do in the town??
EVE can have true Massive multiplayer PVP.
