Yeah. I'm talking to you MagicAnchoves, if you're still around. If you're not then you suck. So. Yeah. Right. I'm back. I even put a few holes in peoples' heads last night as proof of it. So what the hell happened here? Where's my beloved Tempest 2?! This is like going back to the house you grew up in and finding it redecorated in old lady stylings. I guess some servers died off and some folks spread to the wind? And where's WDF? You guys didn't give him enough manly affection in the IRC channel which, I find, empty! But then.. it always kinda was.. What's it take to run a TF2 server these days? How much to rent a good one, and what kind of control do you usually get? I could use a new pet project... and "if you build it, they will come"... or something like that.

was good gamin with ya last night. It was nice seeing the tempest rocking (3/4 full) at 1:30 am pacific on a monday, and I only recognized 2-3 of the people playing.
As I recall you kept shooting me in the head, which wasn't nice as I was doing my impression of a drunken Mrs. C by being drunk myself, and talking about Donkeypunch's lovely mother.

Currently, I am paying $300 and change for 6 months at a time, for decent quality and 24 slots for Tempest #1 2.0. I get full access to all configs and the ability to upload files so I can mod it however we want.

I ran a CS1.4 server back in the day and remember custom building scripts and the like. Knowing they allow that is a plus... not that I'd particularly be planning anything unusual, but I am a programmer by trade. =P
