Hehehe....well, that was a fun ride. Seriously, we need to be able to give out medals for gold threads like this. =D

I've never had a problem with the event invites. I'm fairly sure I've never gotten kicked out of a game so I could read the annoying little message that Drak sends me.

I try Muff. Nothing like a little drama and flame spewing to get things more active around here.

I didnt bump the old thread either because a new thread that is more vitriolic is much more noticeable to our forum dwellers.

Dick showing contest? Perhaps, I don't have anything to prove though....

I still Stand by Crap being a tool though.

Me too, if anything, when I am turning off my computer for the day, I find an event announcements at the bottom of a pile of windows and never even knew it was there.

It depends on the game really Bragr. I blame shit coding but some games go to windowed mode whenever a steam announcement pops up.

There we go.

And it's ok DI, I know you're upset because I'm showing proof of a larger Dick than yours. Just don't take it all so personal. Oh, and perhaps mod your game settings to "allways on-top" I've had to do that for some games before because of steam pop-ups, or just exit steam when playing a non-steam game (if you're certain as you seem to be about not wanting to spontaneously play a steam game). Also, you can add the game to your steam games menu, and that also prevents the pop-up effect.
Hope that helps, and hope to see this somehow start up a new game fleet for WDFnews group. I think a lot of folks are waiting for Whut to take the initiative once again, but maybe he's burned out (with justified reason.)

I've done that with the settings. BC2 is also a game that runs off Steam (I bought the Steam Version) so I have to have steam running when it's playing.

Perhaps I should have been less blunt but its common courtesy. You don't pester people continuously if you want something done. Once is enough. If they want to play they'll join up.

I'm not going to get into whose cock is bigger. We can agree to let the ladies of the world figure that out.

As for moving on. Yes I would like to see this place expand once again but its difficult to do. New games require new systems and in these tough times not everyone can afford to go out and buy a new rig to play the latest game. That being said however a new game or direction doesn't mean the old is instantly dropped. Many other successful casual clans run servers in a variety of different games and have TS3 set up with multiple channels to accommodate this.

I will concede however, while I don't care what people play, it would be nice to see a few of you on the Battlefield. For 29 bucks you can't really go wrong. =)

HEY GUYS BIG NEWS

So I've been marathoning Lost lately, and this reminds me of the episode where Jack and Sawyer are playing poker using island vegetables as chips and they keep going bigger and bigger in their antes and finally Kate walks up and goes "Should I bring you boys a ruler?

Left the Steam group anyway.

I'm tired of having everything I work on shut down every night at 6pm so the same five or six people can play TF2.

This thread is win.

I haven't even visited the forums in a year and the pop-ups have never bothered me. I've never had a single game, Steam-based or otherwise, fall to the background when they come up. And if it did? I'd close Steam. If I couldn't? I'd lodge a complaint with Valve. It's not anyone's fault what the fuck the messages do to you. They're using the message system exactly as it's intended. If you don't like the message system then get out of it's way or complain to Valve about not being able to disable it or something.

The logic is also idiotic. You want more games adopted? Then you'd be getting MORE OF THESE MESSAGES. Your advice destroys your own complaint.

Oh. And RAWR. *hisses*
