Woke up this morning to find our internets were dead. Seems we went over comcast's bullshit bandwidth limit twice in six months. They terminated our service for one year. There is "nothing" they can do. So, we will be without internets until the 25th when we get the only alternative service installed... Dsl. 7Mbps. From 16 with Comcast. Fucking sweet.

980GB transfer last month. The limit is apparently 250GB.

I'm posting this from my phone.

Mother fuckers.

Thats what I like about Roadrunner: Just a nice 22Mbps pipe to the internets with no strings, fine print, or messing with my packets. The dorm internet here is nice to, its a fat 100 Mbps pipe into the backbone. The only downside is that they frown on torrenting and illegal activities, go figure.

Go for a business line? There's no bandwidth limit with a business line, you get a static IP, and if you need a tech they're supposed to be there within a matter of hours or you get moneys.

It seems you can get verizon Business FiOS for $65 a month or something like that, but it may not be available where you are. And I think you have to have a verizon business telephone line as well.

lol, register Pwnzord LLC for that :P Or you could just take your computers to McDonalds and use their WiFi, while buying an 89 cent ice cream cone (prices may vary) once an hour. Now that is some cheapness right there.

16 Mb down and 2mb up + phone + basic business TV = 149 bucks a month. Not too bad, if you ask me.

If you want to downgrade to the 6mb down, 1mb up internet, it's 99 a month.

They have good speeds, but their download limit is crap. Were you paying for residential?

Wow you guys download a lot of porn. But honestly now, its taken me all of 2009 with January 2010 included just to get 604 gigs of bandwidth. My ISP used to shut my nets down for about 1-2 weeks when I went over my 20 gig limit, but since we got their BS package plus additional innernet power I'm "technically" supposed to have 120 mbps with unlimited bandwidth.

I can't say my nets been any peachy lately as anyone who's played with me knows just how bad I lag with lag spikes on a constant basis for the past 2 months.

Fios unavailable.

Qwest only alt.

Fastest qwest speed.

Business expensive as fuck.

Knew about limit. Hard to regulate 6 Internet people under one roof. I used 159gb alone.

This really sucks. How the fuck did we use so much bandwidth?!?

More Comcast suck unrelated to this, I just found out that they sent me to collections. I'm not even a customer. I paid them off and closed my account a year ago when I moved. They claim I owe them over $300, of course the only way I found out about this was by looking at my credit report and seeing that some collections agency in Texas claims I owe them money. First I've heard about it. I've filed a dispute.
