If you live in the southern Cal area. The band (Hypnotic Oddyssey) I am in will be playing an all ages show at the Jumping Turtle in San Marcos tommorow the 8th. We are slotted to go on 2nd or 3rd so around 7:30 or 8:30 we will begin our set. I think the rest of the groups are more pop rock hip hop or whatever. I think tix are 10$ at the door but I could get em for 6$ if you interested. If you can't make this no worries I wouldn't pay money for an all ages show with no drinks myself. You can however see us at all the up coming venues like Adams Street fair etc. Which is free and has beer garden. We have meeting with video production crew this sunday for a vid that will be pretty damn fun to make. I will keep you posted on dates.

I can sing but dont in this band. I play Guitar in this band but can play drums and bass as well. I have begun writing the next generation of this bands music a bit more energy and less classic rocky. We are meeting with production crew on Sunday to go over Music video script and are heading back into the studio the las week of this month. It's fun to be back on stage again but the music social scene I still find annoying at times.

I am curious at this cause i have always kinda wondered. Do you mean having to shmooze with label people, or venue operators? Or is it just having to maintain this, "instead of going home because im tired after my set, its expected that I party and continue to entertain other people" - I always thought that if i was a musician, that would be the biggest deal for me because I sometimes just want to go home after doing work or play...and i dislike being wrung into hanging out with people because its polite or necessary for some image, etc. Quote:

2010.87 miles for me. I may not be able to be there, but I hate to pass up a $10 ticket for just $6.

The show went pretty great actually. There was no headliners but we came off as the headliner cause we where better than the other 4 bands that played. I believe 1 canceled as well. The in house monitors where kinda whack so we had to play very attentively. They let us do some extra songs cause the crowd liked us. We got video recorded from the upper deck and will review it at our next practice. We do this each time to go over what works and what dosent. My face book home page has one of our chilled kick back songs on it if you wanna see it. Woke UpIts from 2 shows ago but it sounds the same just about each time. The video is terrible however. But the audio is there.
