I have run this by Muff and several other members, and they all liked this plan, but I am putting this here for everyone to see and vote on. My plan is for a 24 man, reasonable but basic server. I'm suggesting apoplexyservers.com, which [CMS] Defiance recommended, as the host. I suggest that we pay on a semi-anual basic which gets us a 12.5% discount and the security knowing the server will be around for at least 6 months at a time, with no month to month worrying about making the payment. Every 6 month we would make payment that would be a hair over $300. I am willing to front the first payment and recoup it from donations. If the donations match my costs, the server stays the same, if they are too low, the server gets smaller, and if the exceed then the server gets more slots and/or a higher FPS. That way people would have a motivation to donate. I also suggest that we look into some of the things CMS does such as the hat plugin to bring in more donations. To break even we need $50 a month with is just a few people donating a few dollars. For reference, whut was asking for $450 a month rather than $300 every 6 months. EDIT: Also, I am not voting, and I'm going to let people vote for a day or so before I do something.

Good job. Though I think the poll is unnecessary and just dragging out the process even longer.

The poll is mostly just to figure out what people think, not to decide what happens. Mostly only 10 or so people vote on this forum anyway. You guys should get the "What maps to put on the server" and "Should we buy the server today or tomorrow" polls going. Then maybe the server will be ready around the time Duke Nukem 2 comes out. Whenever you guys do get the server up, good luck putting it together. [CMS]defiance - Steam: defiance018 - Xfire: defianceoby - www.constantmayhem.com

I'm not sure if defiance was being sarcastic or not. Anyways, set up a PayPal account, bragr. I voted yes, we're all going to vote yes, and we need to establish out from admincy and things like that. But, first and foremost, you won't be needing to front the full payment. Get a paypal link now; it's Christmas time - time for giving and shit. silverwasp wrote:Be careful what you wish for... You guys may not know it but I'm kinda a big deal around here on teh internetz. I set of up the button for you to click monetary. Edit: Button is done, I will make it fancy with an appropriate image and a header for the donation page soon, but hey I threw it together in 5 minutes.

Its why I like doing audio work, the sound booth is blessedly secluded. And I believe what endyss is actually referring to is that every time he responds to something with a 17 paragraph response, I respond "tl;dr". One day this really pissed him off and called me out in a well thought out, well executed, but ultimately pointless 18 paragraph exposition on why tl;dr is wrong and is causing everything that is wrong in the world. To all of this of course, I responded "tl;dr" permanently earning his ire.

Oh fuck my life, Noobina told me that Endyss posted that in reply to bragr, and I was going to come here and say something witty that will only make more people dislike me and the clan I am in....but fuck my life 3bam, I can not top that. Job well done sir....job well done. [CMS]defiance - Steam: defiance018 - Xfire: defianceoby - www.constantmayhem.com
