So Im in. I tried out with a band and now they want me to play live shows with them in the San Diego Area. If you live in the area its a good chance to get out and drink. Since this only happened last week I have yet to record anything with them but I will be the second guitar in the line up freeing up the current main guitarist to do leads and fills etc. My first show with them will be next thursday at the Beauty Bar S.D. When my addition gets into the mix it will have a much more full sound among all the other little guitar tricks I have up my sleeve. It was really exciting to play with them and be invited into the group with alot of enthusiasum. Band SiteIt has a girl singer. The band name is Hypnotic Oddessy. H.O. for short. See what she did there.

We might hit up LA in the future. Seattle might be a bit of the way away. But as with unsigned bands alot of self promo is needed so yay for handing out fliers this weekend. Dang, I have to walk up to drunk chicks and say come see my band. Life is tough sometimes.

First show with the band tonight. I am way excited. We booked another show 3 days after and will just start grinding shows to pull in the fan base and pull a residencey at a club somewhere along the line. Need to be gigging at least twice a week to get the real big venues to pick us up. We will be playing with a Portland based band on Sunday called New york Rifles dunno if you PDSers have heard of them up north. If you visited the bands page none of that has my sound in it just yet but I'll post again when I'm in on the tracks. Although my picture is there. I'm the one with the white shirt in the band photo. After being off the stage a good 8 years it will be fun to be back in front of a crowd.

So we did our Acoustic performance last night and someone should have called the police cause we raped that room. We gave out free CDs to those that wanted them. We brought 100 and ran out it was awsome. The event coordinator saw us playing at our last show and invited us to this private invite only event. We had never had to do an acoustic set and only had 3 days to prep. We where really tight and even did some improvising on our last song that really delt the final blow to the audiences eardrums. We where all pimped out suits, shoes, dress shirts and jackets. Although me and the other guitarist shed our jacket for the performance. We pulled in this. Drummer was on my congas I was on my 12 string acoustic. Second guitarist on steal 6 string. I bought an acoustic Breadlove Bass for myself and we had our bass player laid down a fatness. We where all unpluged and our singer had the voice to draw everyone in. The Art Gallery had decent acoustics and the sound echoed nicely with an almost stonelike natural reverb. Then we left for drinks cause all the free wine was hurting my head.
