Whether your server is a high rank or not, your own leader has no access and has to ask other people to get simple things done. People that are rarely around and people that don't interact with the community nearly as much as he does.

Your community is what will keep your server hopping. You have gone through IP changes before and continued to do very well each time. Just let people know what the new IP is and they will follow.

This server has mad hops. It's furious strength is blinding. If you have bad ping, it's because you're either midwest or east-coast. Those with said complaints are, so there's that squared away.

I've played on decent Seattle servers, and my ping usually averages 10 less then it does on tempest. Also, I've noticed that the pings get higher and higher as more people join (no not every server does that).

The server sits empty because members aren't playing on it. They're playing other games. TF2 is losing appeal in the light of other, newer titles. This is out of our control. Sirus has spoken to the affect of "I'll pay for this server until I don't feel like paying for it any more."

Well false server count makes people not wanna join when they see 23/32, so basically the only people that will join (outside of regulars) are people that don't know what false server counts are, and don't care. Tempest also has bad performance (turn your net_graph to 4 and you will see what I mean, lots of lag spikes even when its just 1 person), and some settings that a lot of people don't like, 45 minutes is a long time to be on 1 map.

Example of high ping

Our position in the chart (alphabetically and ping) is actually rather high if you (like most west-coast players) search for west-coast servers. There's a reason the roaring majority of clan members hail from the northwest/west coast.

You can rent servers from the West Coast that have much better performance then Tempest.

What happens if somebody is un-rightfully banned? Or one of the many admins goes crazy and bans a bunch of people cuz he/she is having a bad day? Is there somebody to fix that within 2-4 hours?

My final point...is that this community shouldn't be paying for an over priced server. I think that 12 renting a new server would fix so many problems, and really push this clan into the future.

I agree with Defiance on this one. Whatever the Tempest has been hosted on has never really impressed me. I've played on plenty of rented servers that were superior in performance. Some of the figures that were tossed around in the past are absolutely insane in terms of what it was costing. I don't think it's very effective or worth keeping the way it was before.
