After his post to CMS he hit a brand new low. There's a difference between good natured ribbing and outright attempts to instigate fights. Ban him. I obviously misunderstood the flame forum as being a place for making flames...obviously no one else sees it that light.
I think people need to calm down and relax, realize it's an internet forum and see flame threads for what they are...a source of entertainment.
The fact that people took my CMS thread as a personal attack on Noobina or defiance is funny and sad at the same time. I read the fine print on the forums rules and didn't think it'd be taken any other way.

Fair warning, I'm going to try and be as complete and valid as I can be, which means I may be pulling an Endyss. For those of you who for some reason what my opinion, and whom also don't want to read a bunch: Ban the guy.
So here's why. 1st out the box is the notion that he's a legit player. This is as far as I can tell, valid and true. I believe he has the ability to play this game with a capacity similar to other very good players who frequent these server(s). The list includes folks such as warmachine, ducktor, daniel (remember him?), christina, Brian Peppers, drakhen, and a host of others. For being a non-competative clan, this group has generated a plethora of quality players. Yet for as much of a dick as some of those listed above could be at times due to their skills, they never once turned it into a means for which to put down their fellow gamers. Duck will pause and taunt after a kill over certain people, daniel would boast it'd only take so long for him to win, but never does it turn into a "this is how horrible you'll do because I'm so amazing". Hwguy, well, it's exactly that. Now this alone wouldn't be worthy of a ban, maybe just silenece the guy forever so he can't be a nuisance.
So why put a ban on him entirely from the servers and the community as well? Surely there would need to be a good justification for such an action. What happened to Erk is an example. Erk was so detrimental to the community, any positives associated with benevolent actions being taken in regards to him were simply buried under the cons of his continued presence. This place has been the better for his removal. Hwguy fits into this category as well.
His actions of disruption, of being a jerk to other players, of being a dick and insulting people are something that IMO are not desirable in the first place. Add to this the disruption he favors over all things and its on a whole other level of not being usefull to have him around.
Easiest examples I can think of are his behavior when being told to correct his actions. I'm probably one of the first admins to have started trying to reign him in. Most often I was told by him I was being an ass, a bad admin, a crappy admin (I thought it was a compliment, I was wrong =( ) and a host of other unfavorable things. Ok, no biggy, some overgrown ego'd gamer wants to hurt my feelings, I'll be fine. That this continued with a host of other admins, and that it continued in the face of so many chances being offered to him is what simply points out the logical conclusion of his removal from the community.
Some have spoken of giving him another chance. It's been done. Every time he's faced with expulsion from the community, he sucks up just enough to stick around. Just enough to make sure he can keep his same ol staying same ol. To try and say he's always a horrible person to be around is just wrong. A lot of the time he can be a good player, team oriented to win the round, and helpful and productive over the mic. At times, this almost seems like it's going to be something that lasts. Until he reverts to his other behavior, that of an overspoiled jerk. Maybe the time before last I would have said give him another try. In fact I did, I've muted and kicked him more than any other player ever. Trying desperatly to get him to just realize the server he's on is one that has a few basic rules. Foremost is respect: don't be a dick. It's not a hard rule to follow and it has a ton of flexible room. Bendy is an amazing player as heavy, probably one of the best I've ever seen. He's also proud of it, and when he gets backstabbed, he's upset. But his insults and comments are never derogatory in the same fashion that hwguy manages. And that's the difference. Repeatedly, continually, and for a long time, hwguy has simply failed the extremely simple and non-high standards of the community.
For these reasons besides any other, his removal is of major importance. Someone said correctly that we're always going to have a guy like him around, and there will be one after we remove this one. I figure any web community will always have to keep an eye out for cancer like hwguy and remove it. That's part of the reason it's so easy to do so.
Basically he's been given more chances than even erk was. He's continually reverted to being the sort of person that is not desirable in the community that this place has evolved into. His loss will not be a loss. Keeping him however WILL be a loss to the community. He's had his chances, he's blown every single one of them for well over 6 months. At some point the owner of a rabid dog needs to know when to put him down. This is one of those times.
Take out the trash, move on.
EDIT: See? I pulled an endyss. Sorry for that. And as far as the oddity of the poll, well, in writing this I noticed several names looking at the topic, such as "mint" and "flash" that I've never seen before. Hopefully these are actually players and not just multiple logins created to vote. Does the vote track ip's or just logins?

Exactly how many times are you talking about? Once? Twice? A number would be nice rather than hyperboles filled with "a lot of chances" and "he makes people leave the server".

If he's silenced my money's on him changing his name to piss people off, like ahhh_crap. That'd be his last resort and I know he'll do it. Maybe not now since I mentioned it though... What I don't get is why he wants to continue playing here even though the majority of regular players dislike him. Oh wait, I know why. BECAUSE IT'S HIS INTENTION TO STICK AROUND TO FUCK UP OUR COMMUNITY EVEN MORE.

How many community members have left because of you, or do not play as frequently on the tempests because of you? It's well in excess of 5, and frankly, any more than 0 is too many. You are not worth any other member of this community, it's that simple. Even Led has redeeming qualities. You're only redeeming quality is the level you can take your game to. However, it's not a quality that is in such short supply as to be needed along with the rest of your shite. We are lucky to have a huge number of quality gamers in this community, and perhaps not lucky because an environment has been created that is enjoyable to play in. You're are not the Captain Planet of that environment. You're not even the poor Indian kid with the power of heart. You're definitly one of the bad guys. Specific enough? Do I need to quote some other 80's cartoon to clarify the point?

And judging by ahhh_crap's essay I'd say it worked. That being said, I was explained by someone (whose name shall remain anonymous) to which degree that actually upset a particular pDs admin.
Shortly after, I changed my name. Look in the server logs earlier tonight.
I will say this: this entire thread resonates and reminds me of the people who shout at the town hall debates. It's the about the minority being the most vocal, selling their [flawed] arguments, and being driven by something other than rationale.

yea, i do play on the server. ive ran with names like Flash Burn, MindRot, and prolly 8 more that i cant seem to remember. my 2 cents is this.
sure, bestest can be a dick at times, but to be fair who cant. out of the entire time ive played Tf2, ive only found 2 people that where clearly better then me, and 1 is HW, the other was this dude named "like a mini mall".
maybe its just me, but i dont quite notice when HW is bein a D-bag...maybe its just when im not on the server but it seems like its really just a haterfest. then again, i could totally be ass-backwords and he shouts an freaks the fuk out when hes on the opposing team as me. either way, im not seeing any real definitive proof of why he should be banned. other then he disagreed with an admin over a spawn camping thing on wacky races, and then it turned into a big "gtfo HW u asshole" thread.....

Yes, I did delete my post. My post was flame bait against two CMS members, defiance and Noobina. I have long, colorful, and decorated history with both of these players. I started the thread as a source of entertainment mainly via flames and I guess I misunderstood the forum rules. In like order, I deleted my original post. Basically, what TripleBam said except for the part about members which I cleared up in a follow up post. It's easy to pass judgment on a situation where you only see one piece of the story. Noobina, defiance and I go a long way back. Look at the ahhh_crap admin thread if you think this is one sided.
