Somebody just posted like 4 in a matter of 5 minutes. I think the events are useful for getting people into the server, and I understand it. However, I think when it becomes 4 in 5 minutes, it just becomes annoying, and people start to ignore them. I know other tempest regulars have left the group in the past because of the spam. I agree that it is pretty annoying

Yeah, 5 events in the space of ~35 minutes isn't even on the border of ridiculous. It's far into the realm of aggravating stupidity. Interestingly, two Tempest regulars actually left the group during that time. Really, Sunfox, you should stop that. It's annoying. Especially when the server wasn't even empty. There were 12 +/- 2 people online. I'd call that a good number. Two WDFNews group events have gone out within 1-2 minutes of another four times in the last four days. Even if I were interested in joining, it usually takes longer than that to close what I'm doing, open TF2 and connect to the server. Events to get the server active are nice, but I don't like the annoying Steam pop up minimizing my full screen program and causing me to rage... four times in a row.

we should fix the annoying server map change crashing and its wouldnt be necessary. I have had to help restart temp 1 about three times a night because mapchange problems kill it.

This topic has quickly become extremely negative. It's a shame Steam is such a piece of shit program that it minimizes your full screen window for its own. Maybe a PM could have taken care of this, instead of publicly calling someone out on it. I'd say that's fair. Giller's got a pretty good proactive solution. Let's focus on what we can do about it, instead of, you know, pointlessly bitching.

That's one thing I really dislike about this place. When someone steps up and makes any kind of suggestion or puts any kind of feedback in, it is called bitching. Even when it is a pDs member. This is the site that is referred to on the servers, yes? Then this is where people should be allowed to talk about anything that has the wdfnews stamp on it. If this is not the case, someone should please take off the advertisement in the server that says "We want your feedback. WDFnews.com", because clearly you don't.

No one came in here typing in all caps and adding fuck every other word. It's all calmly typed out. They are just letting you guys know how they feel about the situation. Yes, it's negative...but it's a public problem, not a private one....I don't see the need for a PM. It was not just him that was spammed, it was every person in that group.

Also, if the servers are constantly crashing on map changes, then why spam for people to get in it? If it's having problems why not spam the people that take care of it? That's like knowing a cool toy is broken and giving it to a kid anyway. I mean, I understand an odd crash here and there, but if you know they are broken, and you keep telling people to get in it and you spam them on top of that, it's just going to get frustrating and annoying. Ask for it to be fixed, until it is. If it is a plugin causing the crash, it will take maybe a couple hours to get fixed.

I been saying this for a while now ... They always comes in 2's as well i am trying to do shit and it makes my steam window pop back up its buggy as shit ..just makes me shut steam off

Clearly it is just the CMS folks complaining...If you don't want people to come to the forums to bring valid complaints about the servers, then just don't have a group. People are just going to leave with that kind of attitude, I already know one person that left weeks ago because of the spam, and Pigeon said he knows two people that left recently. So I don't think you should pass this off as "people bitching".

The server didn't crash to my knowledge , there wasn't a need for 5 events. I have heard of the problems with your server, so maybe it should be getting fixed, not being played on. It is only going to alienate people, when they join a server that is always crashing. Yes some of them come back, but I know a lot don't. Our server will be half full, then useless will come in, talking about the tempest crashes, and then the server will fill up, people don't wanna play on servers that crash, that should be looked at, before you are spamming every1 in your group to come play. Maybe an announcement would be better, something about the server crashes, so please come back in and play if it does crash.

As to the thread being negative...well I guess it is, however, we aren't attacking anyone or something. We are just trying to help your group, and help your servers. If that is seen as negative, then I apologize.
