Um...wtf happened to that tourney thing we were doing at the end of last year... I'm assuming everyone just surrendered to the Jawsome power of the ducks, but it would be nice to do some competitive play... even if its just within the confines of tempest regulars... pDs vs. Ducks? Hmm...since I play on duckpond all the time anyways with everyone from duck, I really wouldn't mind a more competitive form of play in this regard, honestly. I'm on board for sure, if that's really something you want to do. Duck team and Saber/bendy/giller team were both undefeated and awaiting a match schedule. It never happened. The lesson tourney admins never seem to learn around here is that they HAVE to design the tourney around fixed tourney days. That way people can determine if they can actually make those days and enter accordingly. In the past, we have had this free form, its up to the captains to schedule matches...and it always falls apart or becomes a pickup game because team members cant make the schedule time.

I remember when I first started playing on tempest there was some sort of tourney going on, with guys like leon having a team or saber (aka team bbq :P) and they played matches, I think it would be neat if we got enough people, say to make a few teams and play weekly matches or something. the winning team laughing at the piles of the downtrodden, holding their heads up high and saying, man, i enjoyed killing bendy! lol :D McCheese wrote:I've always said all women are 2 drinks away from full on lesbian action Lead Salad wrote:I never figured whut for a fairy..wait, yes, yes I did. as long as we don't do a sustained tournament this can work. both times we did a community tournament it turned into people not showing up and not paying attention after the first matches. actually I was waiting for Lemon's team vs [MOO] + pidgeon. But then we've lost track and I've lost interest to it :/ And plan for something else with fixed dates. But the only problem like last time was player count and people willing to show up to fixed dates.

It was fun times. I think if there's enough interest we should definitely do this again. Maybe more casual. I've seen other communities do a weekly scrim night, everyone meet on Vent, and going from there. I think informal but semi-structured is the best way to go.
What days of the week are people generally leaning towards?

I'd be down < or up > for a weekly night. I can make most any night happen, unless I have something else going down. As for who I'd represent.....I figure ducks, but if it came down to Penguins Vs. Gorillas, I'd be a Penguin all the way. If they'd have me that is.

What days of the week are people generally leaning towards? I think it would be best to do something similar to this at first to get things started. If we get consistent attendance we can break into regular teams and play tourney games on that night. Wed and Thurs are worst for me, I can make them work given some notice though.
