Technically the scramble plugin we have right now doesn't add time either; it takes note of the remaining time, does the official scramble, then resets timeleft to what it was.
Depending on how it's configured the new one could be interesting, but I don't want to see it get too crazy with moving people around.

Come on...let's try this on one of the servers. When I have described it to some of the players, they all thought it was a great idea. Put it on #1 to start, and if we don't have complaints we can further implement it.

I agree wholeheartedly with K_buz, the auto balance got really broke and was not functioning last night on temp1. This was only excaberated by a roll that was going on due to the offensive team on dustbowl attempting to run something like 5 snipers. A few of the better players on the team got frustrated and left in a hurry.
If you guys don't want to risk temp1, can we ask the almighty phoenix if she'd be willing to test her own server?
As an added thought, what about the plugins that allow you to choose a "auto-balance buddy." I know Mrs C enjoys killing Mr C, but some folks seem upset and get pissy when they get split up from their chosen ones *cough* Duckwolf * cough* so those plugins may help with that.
