could you name names? I'd like to know what levels are being considered unnaceptable.

 

My vote earlier in temp 1 of "which class would you most likely go gay for" received an 86% vote and the winner was not one of the default weapon keys. This leads me to believe that the 20+ people playing thought it amusing and/or couldn't hide their secret love for the heavy (I know, seriously, the heavy?!?!?!)

 

 I understand the competive side, but isn't pDs mostly about the having fun part?

I agree that pDs is about having fun.  HOWEVER, some people (non-pDs) may be turned off by that and move to another server.  We need to keep as many people as possible populating the servers.  I understand having fun every once in a while, its when it happens on a regular basis that it becomes a problem.   Along the line of that, abusing admin rights is not the way to go.  If admin rights are not being used they way they are intended, then maybe someone should not have admin rights.

I agree that it can add fun to an evening if everyone is into it, including non-regulars/non-pDsers. I can also see that it would be very annoying if the admin does it day after day and often. We don't want to be seen as one of those servers where they do nothing but screw around, and have 14 year old admins (no offense to anyone, just giving you a possible perspective from a new player to our servers).

If I were that admin, I wouldn't do it more than a few times a month if that.

You kind of omitted an important part.  This was not my house and it was not your house.  This was Titanium's house.  If she did not have a problem with it who am I to have a problem with it?  After all she pays the bill so it is up to her to stop it if she has a problem with it.  So you see it was not the dumbest argument line ever.

I didn't know it was in Titanium's server. We need her to come in here and give us her verdict

me and another admin <who I won't name for his sake but he's a person who enjoys having fun as well it would seem> were having random joke votes on temp 1 the other day. That's what I was refering to in my first post with the vote I demonstrated. So I guess frosty is upset about something on temp 6, but I wouldn't mind hearing the powers-that-be verdict for the other temp servers so I know what's ok and what's not.

 Mind you I've had frosty go on a rage-mic-cuss cause I thought it'd be fun to use an uber for a full on shovel attack, but at the same time I've seen him have fun as well. I know that the balance between "dumb and dumber" fun has to mix with "it's fun to win" fun, but I'm of the opinion that it's worth erring on the side of the general fun if you want to keep a game interesting for an excess of a year or so. But again, my opinion doesn't rate much when it's someone elses money that's doing the talking, so yea.

 

 As far as the server wide slaps/burn/etc, that's a whole different category. I would hope noone would lump a vote every few minutes <what's the restriction, 4-5 minutes between votes?> in the same category with a person would would burn to death their own teammate for giggles while said teammate is defending the final cap on dustbowl or something. I somehow doubt any of the admins that get approved for the tempests are of that mindset. With the possible exception of Whut on a bad day, but hey, he's allowed to ream us at his pleasure/displeasure.

First off i didnt cuss out on the mic man , Stop makeing things dramatic.. It was a fun tence real game and everyone was playing at there best and you irked me by asking and wasteing and uber getting no kills when our team was trying so hard to win -.- .. All i did was Rip ya a new one which i later said sorry for cause i was haveing a bad day.. This was like ..a year ago too lol


2nd crap i wasent on last night or when ever you called for that vote as i said before its not about 1 vote , i been in all the temp servers and this trend is starting, I been getting people bitching at me about it too

Voteing is the same thing you know how hard it is to Switch weapons mid combat when a vote pops up blocking 1 2 3 your weapons ?...Sometimes you mash that button fast and the vote dissapears and then comes back up so you need to vote 2 times to get rid of that crap lol
