this map is quite the headache.  i have had to change a lot of little things and every time a change something it takes 2 days to compile and test.  so far, i still have to make more changes to the size of things so that all the player models can fit everywhere.

the major changes are that there is an elevator that raises you up the spawn room and where the intel is because there aren't ladders in TF2, sorry guys.  you still get killed if you try to go into the other teams spawn.

so other then fixing a few more textures, it should be ready.  the lighting looks fine to me, but here is a picture so you guys can see for yourselves.

This map is awesome to play. 

 

I typically spend 30-40 percent of my time sniping and this made it a blast.  Being an offensive sniper I was averaging 7 kills for every 1 death.  So much fun because people could be anywhere.

Great map.

One small thing I was wondering was if the adjustments you mention making are so that players can run behind some of the furniture that they currently can't.

Not a big deal, but it would be nifty.

I like this map too. I feel though that some of the textures in blue room are rather dark. (floors, mostly) It makes it hard to see where you can jump or move around on. The blue is a bit bright too, but the dark floors really need to be lightened up. Other than that, best map ever!

the going behind the furniture thing is an interesting problem - the scount CAN fit behind them, which is pretty cool. makes me wonder whether it really should be changed, it's kind of cool that its like special scout only passages.

I do agree the colors/textures could use some work, it's particularly hard to see anyone standing just outside your base, they blend right into the background. Other things that could be good is some more elevators to make up for the lack of ladders. the ladder behind the TV wasn't replaced with an elevator also, not a big deal but I would often go up there when on flag runs.

overall though, besides the aesthetic issues this map translated very well. I think it's a little harder to defend the flag than in hl2dm, but besides that it seems like matches follow roughly the same flow.

give me some pictures and i can do that.  i thought that somebody had figured out a way to do banners into our maps already, but i might be mistaken.

i will eventually get back to this map and make some changes.  i do plan on moving the furniture a bit farther away from the wall to make more room for the larger players.  i will add more elevators to get up to the flag.  as for the textures, i will have to go over them and replace the ones that don't look good in this mod.

at the moment, i'm putting a few more touches on school and i will release a newer version with a bunch of improvements.  then i really want to port over a prison map that i made for hl2dm that i never released (sweet, something new).
