Hey guys. The 24/7 server is having some major lag issues at random times. This disrupts the flow of the game and leads to people leaving in great numbers. I was on the server tonight when it happened and we went from 32/32 to 2/32 in a matter of 3 minutes. after 2 of these lag events everyone just quit out of frustration. I pulled up the console (sorry didn't copy the text)  and what I saw was basically performance warnings associated with the heavy model and the minigun.... Is this happening to all servers, or are we unique in having this problem.

Anyway just thought I'd report it sorry for not havin the cosole text but I'm sure it can be dug up.

I have been on for the lag lock up its not fun and have seen it only on one other server.

BUT we are playing a live beta and the game was made for 24 players.

what OS are you running the game on?

Everything will just "freeze" up for 10 seconds or so.  I'm not sure if it affects everyone playing, but there are definately people complaining about it right afterwards, so I know I'm not the only one.  It seems to occur more when there is a lot of action going on at once, like a fight near a capture point.

It does effect everyone. And I agree with indi most of the time it happens when there is intense action at a cap point. Everything stops for like 10-15 secs and then when it resumes the point is already capped.

I was on for about 3 hrs last night (32/32) and did not notice any problems. There was some minor lag at times of intense battle but not the 30 sec kind.  I'll try to find you next time I see it.

I think we are not the only ones with the issue though.

The last one is in Russian I used a translator and it sounds like they have the same issue.

Unfortunately none of em have a solution to the problem. But they all get the above posted performance warning at the time of the lag spike. I'll keep looking for a fix.
