As many of you noticed, the first update is the name change. The Catacomb name didn't make any sense to me ever and while I like the word, I can't see the relevence to the server or game it's running. The Meat Grinder is, as I see it, a much more suitable fit.
Map voting now works. Fucking win.
TK bombs no longer work. Fucking win.
Added dod_flashatnight_rc1 which is dod_flash... at night. It's super sick wicked.
Removed: dod_dijon, dod_anvil, dod_pier_b2 from rotation. Maps are still in the voting que.

i have been on a few other servers on DoD usually when Tomb is empty.
what i have noticed is a lot of the servers that are busy have an in game score thing.
What it does is give you points for a kill,depending on what weapon you are using and when you get killed you get point deducted from your score.
You acctually see your score each time you kill somebody or die from someone . if u want your rank u can still type that in to find out.
The points you start of with is 1000 and you go from there gaining points or losing them.
I know we at pDs dont really worry about the rank thing but a lot of the players that play these type games love getting their rank right up so keep coming on to play an better there score.
Can we add something like that to Egg scrambler to see if we can get a following of non members. its just an idea to see if we can get it buzzing a bit
Oh yeah! an if u turn of that own team kill thing im finding that it stops the idiot from spoiling it for others who leave when they get pissed of!

i know what you mean Whut, but ppl camp on most maps anyway an i have to say the games i have been playing you dont notice it because the campers are normally the snipers and mg's which is ok. it makes the teamwork bit come in to play to displace these obstacles an complete the objectives.
One thing i have found out whilst playing is that the campers soon start to move about a bit when they are getting found out hiding in the same spots.
Is it worth a trial period say for a month with these settings to see if we get an influx of ppl because at the moment whenever i look on the server its nearly always empty.

Not too long ago I was playing on the ן׀ן׀ sixpack server and they had a really weird experience points system. I'm pretty sure the guy who runs the server/clan made it himself, but the whole idea was pretty cool. For every kill you gained XP and you could get special "powers" depending on yoru level. He had powers such as camo, and one where you turned into a bomb, and other weird shit like that. From what I remember he was doing kinda what hax is doing with their tfc mod (keeping it to himself). But maybe one of our genius clan mates could make their own servermod that would attract more people. For people to remember us, and stay regular we've gotta stand out.
