this is not a release thread, rather something for you all to look forward to when the server situation gets squared away (and when i can get pacrat working for me).

in the spirit of the new year, i thought i would share with you a new football map that i promised to have done by the new year and since we can't play it on the crypt, i tested/played it with my father (mostlydead) and will share some pictures with you guys.

this level was built for ~15-25 players (although it should be fun with fewer)

the purpose is to take the bomb in the middle to the other teams bunker and blow the crap out of their bunker.  in the back of each bunker there are leaky gas pipes next to the capture point which will serve the purpose of planting the bomb.  the person who plants the bomb (captures the flag) will teleport to to their own bunker and be rewarded with full health and armor.  at that point, the base where the bomb was planted goes dark.  flashing red lights and sirens warn you to get to safety.  the attacking team must run out of the base to be safe from the explosion.  the defending team can either run out of their base (to the middle) or into their spawn rooms. 

you will have plenty of time to get out as long as you don't ingore the obvious warnings.  after the bomb goes off, the blast doors to that bunker will open and the lights will return to normal.  the bomb will respawn in the middle between the two bunkers and the fighting resumes all over again. 


This is the inside of the combine base.  don't mind the empty floors, all that stuff is in my pockets right now.  There are 2 spawn rooms like this for each team along with a supply room (no spawns) toward the middle of each base.


This is the middle of the combine base.  You will find plenty of things to throw at your enemy including heaters, barrels, and boxes.


This is the back room of the rebel base.  Here you can see the leaky gas pipes (capture point) where you take the bomb (flag).  Also visible is one of the rebel spawn room exits.  There is one spawn room on each side (left and right) and there are 2 exits from each one. 

Here you are looking from the top floor on the rebel bunker across the field into the combine bunker.  You can snipe the enemy from the window here are use the rocks in front of the window for protection. 


Here is the rebel base after the combine plant the bomb.  Loud sirens and spinning red lights warn you to get to safety.  Here you can see i didn't make it out in time and the blast door is almost closed.  also most of the regular lights in the base will turn off, so you can't be mistaken, trust me, you will know when you need to run.
