Alright, lets maybe get in the habit of a weekly review of what we did, good or bad. Might help us improve or at least be more aware.

My .02 (please please add all of yours too! I want to definitely know what I need to improve on (besides my aim, thanks Frosty) not to mention I dont want this to come off as a "high and mighty bitching" sort of thing)

Pros- Overall we seemed to do pretty good, with a few minor problems. We're getting better at calling out stuff, and getting batter at being more accurate in the process.
-Talked well on teamspeak, didnt seem to have any major lag issues caused by it (I got a little, but worth it for advantage of communication)
- Mostly stuck together (see cons)
- We won, so yea, we won.

Cons overall-

- I felt like I got myself lost/seperated at times and couldnt find where others were. I probably should have fled the cap point a few times as I definitely was solo and got ganged up on for it. Should I stay with current mentality and hope you guys show up (either before or after I'm dead, but with more time on the cap for us) or should I flee and regroup?
- Need to communicate big picture better- where the group of us is specifically, who's over there, who's over here, etc.
- Need to communicate little things better- "hey, I'm leaving spawn, should I hold up or what?" we should probably designate section commanders depending on the map- so maybe the group with the heavy medic pair has someone who keeps some herding of the cats under his 'command' and the other people know to check against. Situation * Hey Drakh, I just respawned, should I join up at X or stay here at spawn?" "group up with us by the XY near the glory hole, we'll go from there" - Obviously for spys and snipers not a big deal, but it will help us with some more micro-coordination. If this is currently someones job, I dont mean to be a jerk but we do need to improve on it (or at the very least I do, I stunk it up bad in this area last few games.)

And without attacking anyone, what's some constructive criticisms we could pass out to each other?

-Crawdad, can you call out where the dispenser is located occasionally? If you did this last game, I didnt catch it and could have made use of it more. Otherwise, heard the sentry going off a lot so good job on the spot you choosed (grammar a treat for Mrs. C)

-Frostbite- Nice job calling out that you went in first to take sniper shot, saved my butt a few times at least.

- Virus- more chatter in general maybe? I know you're the silent killer type but channel a little disco into the HIV and shout if youre off to heal someone else maybe? I know I probably should have asked for help from you more, but I didnt know where you were on the map and didnt want to have you leave the group that needed you more or something.

- Cant think of any other specific ones -but please take this as trying to be constructive and not as bitching in any which way! We won, thats the bottom line!

Good thinking, Crappy.

Frosts strategy of taking that headshot was a brilliant idea. Thumbs up.

Crawdad also did a good job. I guess I didn't notice the dispenser problem because I was a scoot and its not like anything is too far for me. Letting people know where your dispenser is located is probably a good idea.

Bendy killed lots of people, but I think he got killed by spies most of the time (can anyone confirm this?). I was roaming around the map looking for people flanking most of the time, so I have no idea how our core team was playing. Was drak spychecking? I know I got a few spy kills myself. We need to communicate stuff like that better, like bumping into a spy. Its going to be harder to do that with bigger maps though, so I guess its not a big priority.

I think that deciding to wait for the team is a self-decision. You should know that if a lot of your team is dead, you shouldn't just run out to the point. If your medic is alive and there's some people defending, you'd better haul ass and help them.

WE HAVE TO DEFEND VIRUS. He's the most valuable asset on our team, and we really need to make sure we keep that ubercharge safe. I agree that virus needs to communicate more. He needs to call out people he feels are threatening him. He did call out his uber % a few times, but I'd like to see that be more consistent.

I also need to reinforce the idea of us moving as a group. Frost pointed out in game that we kept rushing the point only a few people at a time, and that was the round we lost. Remember: the core is going to be Heavy+Medic+Pyro. The soldier and demo need to be close to this group, but not bound to it. They're more mobile and can do huge ranged damage. As a scout, I need to keep an eye out for flanking enemies. Snipers ans spies know their role, since they're specialty classes.

Remember: We're trying to deal more damage to them than they can to us. We dont have to get kills, we just gotta force them away. Kills are good, but don't be greedy about it. Spamming chokepoints is just as effective.

OK, when I respawn I'll announce "medic respawning" and would like you guys to respond with either a medic call so I can see where you are on the map or with a response about how long you have to respawn (eg "respawn 3 sec."). On the control point map if you all die while I'm healing you, I'll fall back and again will announce "all dead, falling back" and will want you all to again call for medic so I can find you on the fall back. I try to prioritize healing offensive classes (Heavy, pyro, soldier, demo) but if you are low on health, try to fall back to me so I can heal you and get the uber up. If you are in my vicinity and I see you're low, I'll heal you (even if you're a snarky spy) but I'm going to try to maintain contact with heavy-pyro-medic primarily.

If I'm getting low on health myself, I'll announce "medic dying, fall back" and will head to the nearest health drop or dispenser on the map. If I'm healing you, fall back with me. On the previous CP maps, I was getting killed before uber build up so I'm going to be more conservative about rushing the point if my health is low.

I will also call out uber charge at 80% and let's try to group up when I call it so we can all follow Heavy medic into a choke point or CP when uber is charged.

I'm still getting taken out a lot by spy and scout so if pyro can hang with medic and heavy and keep them off our backs I'd appreciate it.

On the upcoming map there are multiple paths to the control points, so it is going to be easy to get separated. I'll try to keep together with others on the path but it would be good for us to agree on rally points where we could meet on the map so we aren't separated. If we could do this on Sunday practice -- good.

I'm planning on the uber healer for the upcoming CP map although I think the Kritzcreig worked great on the KOTH map last week.

Yeah, I suspect uber would be best for this next one, too. Between the constant movement of CP maps and the amount of cover available on this map, it'll be easy for the enemies to escape a kritzcreig.

Our pyro will definitely need to be on his toes. Off-hand I think there are at least 3 ways into every area so flanking will be a serious danger. And there are a lot of tight looping areas, too, that can be leveraged to quickly get behind people.

Mrs. C!
We've only gotten to play with your hubby. Are you going to play too or are you always in bed by that time with the little crustacean?

It isn't even the baby who is keeping me away! It is my crazy work schedule.

I do hope to get to play at some point, but if it is a choice between the two of us, the Mr. will win (one of us needs to be available should the little munchkin get his leg stuck between his crib slats, as happened this evening).
