URGENT UPDATE!!!!! The other team changed their mind last minute and wants to play TONIGHT. The leader JUST messaged me on Steam telling me this and then went offline. I said I'd let you guys know. I still don't have a server available yet and I don't know if you guys can make it now. Yikes. Let me know. I'll try to contact you all individually. Yay! I'm going to try and find a team for us to scrim against next Sunday by the way. So plan on making a practice. We might have it at the match time (6:30 pacific) instead of our practice time (5:00 pacific) but I'll let you know once I get something set up. BTW, our server is now running next week's CP map. It's one I've never seen before, so I'll be playing there off and on to get use to the map. P.S. And so far the bots act more consistently on this one than the last.

Yes, this map is pretty complicated. Well, its a simple layout but there's lots of crazy things going on. Everyone really needs to get a feel for the layout, because there's no way we'll get the finer points down in time. And cover in a lot of places is oddly placed and used. The art of simple joy is lost on this one, IMO. 'course, I'm getting kind of sick of CP maps, too. I wish they had a bit more variety in this league; a PL map would be nice. Maybe even a CTF, though I imagine that could get ugly given the class limits...

I forgot about the possible different time when making plans for the day, so I won't be able to do 6:30PST, but plan to be practicing at the usual 5PM.

Sounded like you guys got a fairly good practice in before I showed up, I took much too long to eat my dinner and I apologize. However, I did manage to get a scrim set up for NEXT Sunday (March 3rd). We're playing =BS= (i don't know what that stands for) and they have a good server for us to play against them on. The time is as of right now 6:30pm PST (PACIFIC FROSTY). I don't think they can do any earlier than that. Let's plan on practicing on Wednesday at 6:30 as well (I think we should just make that our default practice time, it seems like more people are available then???). That way we don't look like fools during the scrim. That is all! Also, good strategics on this thread guys! Read them if you haven't already. Yup, good job guys. That said, there are definitely a few things we could improve on. Namely sticking together. As the game progresses I know it's very easy to lose sight of that discipline and easy to go rogue--for most of us that's how we've grown accustom to playing for years. But on CP especially, it's important to minimize our losses. If a push goes sideways, don't fight to the last man. Fall back to the previous point and try to hold position there until people respawn and rejoin. Otherwise, the medic needs to be glued to the heavy or the aforementioned "previous point" if in retreat, and the pyro needs to stay glued to the medic--or very near.
