I said they play by the same rules once they're exercised and become normal stocks. And I've only ever sold stocks. I had the opportunity to sell options when Morgan Stanley invested in the company I work for--prior to going public--and I turned it down. Here, I'll help you out a little, Mr. Wizard. http://www.investopedia....rcise.asp#axzz1jlwgJEx7
Good job qualifying yourself for the status of "idiot", per my previously stated prerequisites. I'm quite happy having made $900 from nothing. It protected our savings from being hit by expenses more than once. Dude just shut up, you quote things without knowing it's meaning then try to tout $900 as a profit off fucking e-trade. Just the fact you use E-trade speaks volumes alone, so why don't you leave investing to people who know wtf they are doing.

And investing isn't only investing if you put up tens of thousands of dollars at a time. I seriously doubt you have that much to play with given you were just bitching about not having enough money for a good laptop in the other thread. So why don't you shut the fuck up and join your old friends from here... who aren't here anymore. Buhbye, now.

Any real person with a clue about investing would know the site was created by wallstreet pro's to fleece morons like you. Why would I tout something as measly as $900? On top of spending $2k on my laptop last year I also have a little less than $2,500 in a CD while I keep saving and working towards my goal of $10k. Which is the amount my fraternity brothers who work for insanely profitable investing firms told me to get before I even considered investing in real life terms. "If being $900 richer is what it means to be a "fucking sucker", then I welcome it." Yes, it does, because the people who work at E-trade are wiping their asses with your $900 all the way to the bank. I'll just repeat the most important mistake of all you made... E-TRADE!!

Yeah, that puts you in the big league, alright. And while that's sitting in a CD, I've made $900 profit starting with just $2000. Maybe if you actually used that $2500 to play the market as intelligently as you seem to think you can, you'd reach that $10,000 goal a lot quicker. The people at E-Trade have made $80 profit on me while I've made $900 profit using them. You act like they're stealing my money but I've gained a lot more from this mutually beneficial relationship than they have. Do the math, dumbass. And according to what you said above, it sounds like you haven't even started trading. So seriously: Shut the fuck up. You're not an expert on the subject. I'm not an expert on the subject either, but I obviously have more first hand experience of it than you do. All you do is sit around and watch your rich friends make money around you. Kind of like how you were bragging about your friend's awesome laptop before. Is your only claim to awesomeness found through the people you allegedly know? Anyway, keep barking, little dog.

Anyway, keep barking, little dog. I'm done with this thread too. I may not be a expert, but I do know more than you and I'm not going to waste my time quoting stuff for you to make gross exaggerations about and read into more than a gypsy psychic. You are so fucking dumb and short sighted that you think e-trade has just made off you is $80? God you're a moron. But really, I don't give a flying fuck what you do with your money that's your choice. I'm perfectly happy on my current plan because there is ZERO risk involved and when I do set foot in the real economic arena I'll be prepared.

So keep barking, little dog. You've already proven you can't resist posting in topics you've said you're done with.

Damn. When I thought my company's stocks were going to go down $.10, they went up $.35 over the week. That would have been a quick $250 if I'd invested on Monday. Would have gone a long way towards paying for my recent pool repairs, too... meh. Silver lining is that, while that stung from a short-term perspective, it's good for my long-term nest egg of stock options.

I sure wish I bought more when it was under $20, best investment I ever made. Worst investment I ever made was my very first: 3DFX, way back in 1998 Razor wrote:Killing people is good therapy.

The hardest thing about stock trading is trying to comfort yourself with the thought that, at the time, with the information you had, you made the best decision you could. At least that's what I do. Of course... I've made more than I lost, so it's not hard. =P
