So word on the street is you still play Artyom who is now a full ranger. The game is a direct sequel to Metro 2033, not the book 2034, following the canon ending of the dark ones being destroyed. The guy behind the Metro books is helping devs with the story, the game will be an original story in the metro universe. Combat and stealth is being completely revamped, MP has been confirmed In an hour of Darkness a blind man is the best guide. In an age of Insanity look to the madman to lead the way.
