Extended the poll for 5 more days since I'm in no rush, and it'll give everyone the opportunity to weigh in. I'll act on the results once it expires.

I hesitantly vote no. While it annoys the hell out of me that I can't report an incoming enemy force or the location of a spy while dead, I think not being able to do so is also an important strategic element of team play.

I voted yes. Talking on the Tempest is to me more social than strategic. I always get angry when I have to wait for seemingly eons to pass before I can be heard by friends, colleagues, peers, comrades, compatriots, etc. This wouldn't bother me as much though if the respawn times could be shortened though. They just seem like far too long to me on a server where there are only 16 slots (as of now). I honestly wouldn't be opposed to instant respawn (after seeing your murderer, of course) just because it often feels desolate when running around maps designed for 24 players. Yeah, I'm planning on going through and making custom config files for different map types. For maps with mini-rounds there will be fewer full rounds before map change, and on certain types the respawn will be quicker. The combination of those should help speed things up. Just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

I too vote yes. Its annoying that I cannot insult the person who killed me for upwards of 15 seconds. D= If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe. - Carl Sagan My Backpack
