on i have a 53 and a 50 chevy and i was looking into getting a ls1 or ls2 corvette engine for one of them. i was wondering if i had the room for it. And someone said i should get a 396 and put it in. which one would be better for speed and mgp?

The LS series are amazing! And yes, they will definitely fit since there was already a 350 in them. Or you could go with the LQ4 which is the 6L. For speed it realllllly depends on what transmission you are running. MPG is really about the same for the two engines (even the 6L is close to the same).
Jeeps don't get stuck, they just take breaks.

the 50 and 53 Chevy's came with the 216 which was known for leaking oil and then the 235 which both are the straight ix engines, but i can get a full v8 there is more than enough room ill just have to get v8 mounts for it and get it welded on which wont be a problem know people that weld and can do it for me. You said the 6l one is the lq4 but i thought the ls2 was a 6l? is that wrong and what the difference between the ls2 and an lq4? im still learning this Chevy stuff i'm a dodge mopar guy. And which is better a supercharger or a turbo im pretty sure turbos are cheaper then an super charger but that does not mean its better.

The LS series can be anything (which is the Gen III engines). The LQ4 is the 6L.
