I'm slowly becoming more ambitious in my maps, this one taking it up a level from the trade_dispute map a couple folks saw. It's still very much a work in progress and only three "areas" are functionally complete--they just need fine tuning, ambiance objects, etc.

Anyway... some shots of it...

Spawn Room 1:

Since many folks just idle trade servers, the teams spawn facing each other. Easier to see items with everyone in one area. There are a full 32 spawn locations per team, allowing the map to be used on 32-player servers without automatic team balancing.

Spawn Room 2:

The outer spawn area. I had hoped to have in-map camera/monitors on those flatscreens but someone thought it'd be funny to take that out of TF2, even though it's part of Source. *mumbles* I'll probably just make some custom textures for them down the road.

Shooting Range:

Each team has their own shooting range, sporting actual enemy player models that animate and talk when hit. Targets come at 3 ranges, 3 speeds per range. Conveniently there happen to be exactly 3x3 classes in TF2.

Pond:

Really just filler between the two sides... but whatever...

Water Polo:

Functional polo game. First team to 5 wins. No blood no foul. Okay... there are just no fouls. No grenades allowed, though. Cheap demo bastards.

Next on the area to-do list is probably a manor-themed display room of various TF2 items, doubling as a deathmatch area. I'd also like to make an obstacle course area with moving walls, floors, etc., complete with death traps. I'd like to do a CTF game around that area but I'm not sure yet if that's possible as a minigame.

Awesome! Great job! Keep up the fantastic work! Let me know if you ever need another playtester!

Thanks for the kind words. I haven't mapped since Duke Nukem 3D (except for a very brief tirade into UT2004), so compliments are appreciated. But man... it's a different mapping world now.

.... and then some fucker introduced me to Minecraft so.... this map is on hold >_>
