I've been playing the beta for MNC since it came out on Thursday, and I am really having fun with this game. If you haven't heard of it yet, its kind of a cross between TF2, Futurama, and DOTA. It is a third person shooter, but really feels more like a first person shooter. The game is still kind of wonky right now. I get MNC.exe failures every so often, and I think there needs to be more balance with the PC in mind. (The game originally released on XBL.) The user interface needs a little tweaking to more geared towards PC as well. I think this has potential to be a really big hit if they can work out all the bugs before launch. Anyone else interested in this game at all?

Hmm. You've got my attention. And being on Steam, it should be easy to run a dedicated server with minimal work, though being new it might be a bit before the big mods are ready for it.

After another day of playing, the game is much less borked. I get way less critical failures and it seems the server population is steadily rising. In the few days the beta has been live the devs have really shown they are on the ball. The UI still feels like an xbox port though, I really hope they get around to fixing this soon.

Yeah, they buffed the server stability, which is really nice. Now they need to balance the sniper. =( If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe. - Carl Sagan My Backpack

Played the demo on Xbox Live, didn't like it. Felt unpolished and cheap to me. I dunno how the PC version is going, but there's my opinion. Quote:Razor: As hard as one might try no one will ever be able to pull one over on Super Penguin. Backpack of Win

Now they need to balance the sniper. =( For sure they need to balance the sniper. Those ice traps are super lame the way they work. Its just a free headshot. I am having TONS of fun playing the assassin though.

The assassin is SO annoying, but balanced. I just go soldier and float around and own them. =D Those ice traps are really annoying, I agree. They need to have like 1 shot clips too. If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe. - Carl Sagan My Backpack
