so. who here has seen Nolan's new flick? also if you have what did you think?

personally this movie kept me fully entertained for its 2 1/2 hour duration. while there are some holes here and there, it wrapped things up pretty well while challenging me to keep track of everything. awesome movie :D

I personally loved it, but the more time that I have had to think about it, the more holes I've found, and the more issues I've had with the plot.

Saw it.

I challenge anyone to see this movie stoned.

-Nah. Don't see it stoned.

But, yeah, see it.

You should be more like Cantrip.

I saw it and love it.

Its a movie that I would like to watch a second time, so that I could pay attention to more detail now that I have seen it once through. Be able to catch some clues that might fill in the holes that I had after leaving it. Specifically I would pay better attention to how the whole "limbo situation" was described and functioned, as it seems to be the crux of the twist or open ended ness of the ending.

As far as the representation of dreams on film, I feel like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind did a better job of representing what its like to be in a lucid dream state. I dunno, it just seems to more accurately depict a dreamstate. Sudden shifts in location, incomplete details about people or environment or how he got there, and how he absorbs and expresses the emotions within memory dream as he travels from one to another even though he is lucid.

Inception is more like the matrix in that way.

I'd really love to see it. The previews make it seem like, if anything, an eye candy movie. Avatar had no plot, but it was lots of fun to watch.

Would I be correct in thinking Inception is one part Oceans 11, one part The Matrix, and one part Paprika?
