There was a time when this place was the world to me. It almost controlled my life. I would check it like I check my email (hourly). It was my passion.

Well, guess what, motherfuckers? It ain't anymore. I know I passed it off once before, and then emorageusurped control. That was wrong. You guys were trying to salvage this place, or at least the memory of this place, and take it in a new and exciting direction and I cocked it up. Well, I'm pulling my cock out of your freedom as of now.


Rik is now owner of this mess. The site will remain online. Sirus will continue to stick his cock into the circuits and win that produce this place, but as far as an administrative role is concerned, I'm stepping aside. You guys can either continue to use this place or move onto something else. It makes no difference to me.

Final Gamer? You rock. You just keep fucking writing shit. As far as dedication to making this place what it is, you are like the super winner. You kept writing reviews and working long after I bailed. You are rad and it's been my pleasure to have worked with you.

Everyone else? Well, you've all heard this bullshit before in one of numerous quits. I think you all know me well enough to know this time it's for real. Well... if this post doesn't do it for you, you're all smart enough to have seen the writing on the wall a year ago when I started to phase myself out.

I will return when there is a game worth playing as a community. I had originally hoped it was TF2, but that turned out to be a monumental disappointment. Now, with Valve re releasing CS:S, I realize that it'll be a while before I return. Valve games are what this community is based upon, and it'll be a Valve game that returns me to this community. When that happens, I'm sure I'll kick Rik into the gutter and resume command of this amazing group of people. Until that happens, I want you all to know that you are my friends.

You have been the most important group of socially retarded people I've ever come to call my family. And, really, that's what this is. This is a family. We are there for each other through thick and thin. It was such an honor to know all of you.

This isn't goodbye forever. It's goodbye for now. For the near future, and until Valve releases another game that I care about playing.

Being as I've been shoved into the pilot's seat while the pilot jumps dramatically from the plane... I'll do what I can to keep things running, but mine will be a pretty passive role for the moment, since I'm expecting a baby in the next 10 days. Oh? That's a shame. TF2 was the first multiplayer game I ever really got into and somehow the Tempest community managed to keep me coming back to your servers and eventually even become a small footnote in the life of it. Enjoy life until you come back, and then enjoy it even more.
