its not too early to start planning right? These are subject to change etc etc blah blah. Looks like the Terran are going to be a heavy Air unit race in this game. Fully one quarter of their combat units are built by the starport. Quote:

Battle.net will be free, it's just B.Net 2.0. They took out LAN play (and added DRM pretty much AFAIK) to make sure no one pirates their shit anymore. silverwasp wrote:Be careful what you wish for... I have 10 younger siblings and I am only 20....

5 bucks says they release a Lan feature 3-4 months after it comes out so that they appease the masses, but still collect on the new release dollars and thwart as much piracy as possible. Even so, My guess is that someone will develop a Battlenet2.0 emulator that will be able to be run locally and authenticate keys. Or something even more clever. Quote:

The sole reason the two legends declined the starring roles is because if MrT and WhutDuFuk were to kiss, there would be new meaning to the word homosexual...it would mean "obligation".

Lead Salad wrote:lol what? Are you serious? fuck that. My apologies. I was reporting from a friend and he mislead me. What I should have said was that Battle.net MIGHT not be free anymore. :Ahem: I quote... "When asked, “Will Battle.Net remain free?” at the Diablo III gameplay panel at BlizzCon 2008, Blizzard’s Julian Wilson gave Blizzard fans a startling answer: “We are looking to monetize Battle.Net so that we get to keep making these games and updating features, we kind of have to.” They have a point - they've been supporting Starcraft for, what, 10 years? Diablo 2? Bandwidth takes money, it ain't free. Free services for thousands of players is a drain on Blizzard. I say, charge the WoW players more!! Suck them dry.
