Yes. You're correct. Those rules are outdated. The explanation for that is simple. We recently upgraded the website and old posts lose their formatting if we edit them. We've been working on getting everything set up and functional again and that was next on the list of things to do. After tonight's incident, it will be done asap. So, in that regard, you're correct. However, the fact of the matter is that when an admin asks you to do something, do it. Don't tell him how wrong he is for asking you to do it. I have no issues with friends playing with friends. However, we pride ourselves in being a "noob friendly" server. Sometimes that means scrambling the teams to ensure a pleasurable experience for all, not just you. If there wasn't such an incredible rampaging of the opposing team, I doubt I would have said anything. We're pretty lax around here. However, on top of your team destroying the other team, all five of you were in the top 5 on your team. You were leading the rampaging. We asked you to split up and you refused. Action was taken. I'm sorry you disagree with said action. The rules are in-game. I will update the rules here. I'm already lifting your bans, as they were extreme, and now also because there was a technicality with our book keeping. Quote:Yes, yes they do. Anyone here will attest to that. Furthermore, an admin reminded you, politely, about the rules of the server. You chose to ignore the reminders of the admin team as well. Are you both blind and deaf? The rule box didn't pop up again though. I would have gone spectator to read them carefully again and then made my friends keep split up if I was able to read in evidence that they were in the posted rules. At anyrate, I am glad that you have an active forum (seeing as you are responding in alarming speed for a forum) and that we are able to talk to each other outside of adrenaline pumping action that usually gets people on edge. I genuinely appreciate this.

Your bans have been lifted. I will admit to over-reacting on the punishment. Please let me know if you are still unable to play. [13:58] TheSpaniard84: I have a kitty stuck to my rump [13:58] WhuTdufK: I suppose that's better than what's normally stuck to your rump.

Quote:We recently upgraded the website ah, makes sense. It looks really nice for a forum. and not to mention whoever did the designs for the penguin kicks ass. Quote:If there wasn't such an incredible rampaging of the opposing team, Yea, we probably should have taken a good break from doing heavy-medic combos. I guess at that point it was a little disruptive. Medics starting off with a 25% Ubercharge already was what was helping us out a lot (kritzkrieg charging in like 30 seconds was really devastating to the other team.)

Worked fine. Was able to connect without issue. Looking forward to playing on the server again sometime.

damn, I got off the server just before this all went down. I was playing on the team these guys were on and I didn't hear any organized talk about switching teams to stay together. Regardless, Rule #1 in my opinion is "DO NOT F*** WITH WHUT". If an admin asks you to do or not do anything on any server, anywhere or anytime: comply or find another server to play on. Simple. "I love the smell of napalm in the morning. Smells like ... victory"

With all the evidence, I don't think you over-reacted WDF, I was playing against these guys and while I was having much fun backstabbing them constantly, my team was still losing constantly. It was supremely annoying to have one team dominate the whole time regardless of who won. @Virus: They didn't talk to each other about switching because they were at someone's house. They said that in the original post I think. I think you were right to ban them and I don't think you should have lifted the bans because people never act like this "just once" it always happens again. Thanks for your opinions. I am one for giving second chances... And yes, generally it doesn't work out... (Erkdog, etc). But then again Draino Slushi was hiding in our ranks forever and that seemed to work out fine. Who knows... maybe they'll shape up. Missed the boat on this thread but I just wanted to comment. Everything was dealt with appropriately in my humble opinion but what I don't understand is how they missed the rule that says no clan-stacking on the server. Everytime a round ends or you go to spec and back to a team it pops up....missing it is impossible. I'm the leetest one here

For what it's worth, I agree with whut's actions. I don't agree with how far he's gone to prove his actions.
Rule #1 (aside from Virus's) is "Don't Be a Dick"
This simply states that the servers are here to be fun for EVERYONE. This means everyone, not just certain groups. Thus actions are taken to ensure such good times. If a clan is acting in a way that is not in the entire servers best interests, the admins are charged with fixing the problem. Whut fixed it in an entirely appropriate way, and in fact went to extreme lengths to do so. That he's giving a second chance is just proof of why this community is still around, he's way too nice a guy. None-the-less, I think all his actions were justified, and I just think he went a little too Endyss with his reasoning and need for proof.
That at least one member of the clan came back to the forums and presented himself/herself in a calm manner and this worked out is one of the awesome parts of this forum. That it may not actually work out....well, that's why there's more than just whut on the admin team. I gamed a little bit with a member or two of the clan prior to this incident and they were just another gamer, so I hope it works out alright.
Not that my opinion counts, but nice work Whut and thanks for letting us be a part of this community.

I still think we should give erk another chance , If anything its good for a laugh i mean just look at some of the quotes i collected from him in just a short amount of time. Ok On topic You run across a lot of these type of players in the games i use to play. You try and make it fair and fun for everyone and give people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the rules,But When an admin says to do something there is no doubt in what should be done. If you dont like what he is doing you leave and make a post about it in the forums if it bothers you that much. They are to be obeyed no matter what you think should be Bitching about it to him in game is never a good idea EVER, Just give them a reason to ban you after all lol it doesn't change the fact that most people think Jews are much like the Ferengi of Star Trek. More interested in acquiring "profits" than anything else. -Erkdog
Shut the fuck up Frostbite, I know what i am doing i been playing TF2 for 8 fucking years i know how to run my damn servers-Erkdog
More pearls from Erkdog I say we let him back on the forums. lol epic

Wanted to quickly jump in here and thank you guys for how you handled yourselves on our boards. We get many people coming in here and throwing a rage fit over things, and while some details were omitted... ;) ... you handled yourselves maturely and properly. It is that kind of behavior that warrants second chances in my book.
