Someone convince me to pay for it. I had fun, and I can see where the rewards might be, but at the end of the day, it feels like an OS I can occasionally play. Safety + Peace

because several of us still play, its fun, we can get you into 0.0 for the real game, and you can make eve pay for itself eventually. once you get out into 0.0 as part of the actual communities there (not just flying through), the game changes dramatically and you can have a great deal more fun. I played the trial version, i thought it was fun and extremely deep. Only problem was that i didn't really have any1 to help me through the beginning so i was an extreme n00b. Also, i didn't have the cash to pay for it. [CMS]defiance - Steam: defiance018 - Xfire: defianceoby - www.constantmayhem.com

I just got done playing a trial as well. Except I still have like 11 days left.. I got my friend into the game and now he pays for it, has a battleship etc. I couldn't get back into it. I'm pretty tired of MMOs in general. I still think Eve was a good idea, but they didn't execute it very well. The economy is the best feature of the game, which is actually really bad. It doesn't compensate for the shittiness of not being able to level up skills through experience or the boredom of combat. Before anybody QQs about me criticizing the combat, I did pvp. I lived in 0.0 for a month. I did regular roaming gangs through goon space. There were plenty of high-tense moments but all the combat really comes down to is being in range, locking a guy, and shooting. EWAR and warp disruption makes things a tiny bit more interesting, but all it really is is clicking on an icon and pressing a key. Yawn. Don't look to other people to convince you whether or not a game is good, it's all a matter of taste. If your idea of fun is paying 15 bucks a month to click icons and wait for skills to finish training, then you should definitely play Eve.

so i recently learned how to out-fly missiles and break an interceptors range by flying "manually." holy crap this has opened a whole new world of combat for me. Bah Weep Granah Weep Ninny Bong
