Engi Limit on #1 Options

I know its been discussed before, but I had never really seen a need for imposing class limits on any of our servers...until Egypt became part of the rotation.

I have no clue what imposing class limits would entail, but if we simply limited each class to 3 per that would be a good start.

Im for it,  maybe start with a limit of 4 of each class, give it a test run on #1 or #6 and see what people think.  Its almost imposible to cap on a map like dustbowl when the other team has 6 engies.

i know that i dont weight much since i am not there often...but i would take that limit down to 3...

because 4 per team is 25% of a team....wich is too much

Can you limit classes individually or just as a group? 3 would be fine for me if it was just for engi's, but it would be kinda obnoxious to not be able to be the class you wanted to be like a Pyro or something in a full server of a team of 15.

pyros are also a reason why i said that the limit should be 3...... w+left click for the win....or +attack in console if lazy

LoL.   If I had a dollar (canadian dollar) for every time I heard Christina talk about Pyros and +attack....well I would have my own leased server from WDFNews.com.

I don't think Engie class spamming is the problem, it's ANY class spamming. Just limit every class to 3 and there will be more than enough room for the full 15 people on a team to pick and choose. Just not enough room to spam. It would also cut down on the masses of scouts making any team with potential just lose outright.

You cannot legislate common sense. If people don't get to play what they want... they'll go where they can. I know I like to play Engineer, Heavy, Pyro... if the only classes left were Scout, Sniper and Spy, I'd just leave.

 I agree with the fox, not to mention that if you're playing a map, say defense on dustbowl. What happens if the three worst players on your team are all locked into the demo class, or the engi, or whatever. Your entire team is penalized because the capable players are not able to go play the class that needs to happen for the TEAM to do ok. This is the annoyance in a team game like TF2, it does require the whole group to function and ocasionally it just don't work out. Bummer, such is life.

And when they go away, they take their potential contributions with them.

Chasing people AWAY from your servers, especially when you're wanting people to contribute money, isn't a smart idea.

I also favor the class limitations, especially after watching a couple of Ass Fests where we had a team that was nine engies.
